The Institute of Intellectual Property, Marketing and Compeition Law (IMK) is the leading research and teaching unit within its areas at the Faculty of Law, Uppsala University. It is operational since 2012 and was officialy established in 2013 following initiatives to form a new research environment by professor Sanna Wolk. Researchers from IMK regularly participate in national and international intellectual property and competition law fora and collaborate with research institutes and centres in Sweden and abroad. The group interacts with the wider society, businesses, government authorities, and non-profit organisations.
IMK's mission is to foster the scientific study of intellectual property, marketing and competition law and to increase the understanding of and develop the studied fields of law by producing cross-disciplinary research with societal relevance and impact.
